The Ducks’ Challenge

On one sunny day, the ducks Fred and George were looking for their friends. On the way to the other side if the pond, they met a human. The human was saying some gibberish, but Fred understood right away that he was saying that their friends were trapped in the polluted water on the other side of the pond. George wondered how Fred knew that they were looking for their friends, but it looked like Fred could read minds. he said, “Look there George!”. When George looked, he saw two small figures trapped in slimy, green water. George liked adventures so he asked Fred if he wanted to come with him to go save their friends. Fred was a scar so he disagreed withed  George, but George finally convinced him to join him.

Their first obstacle was a huge wave. George and Fred ducked under the wave just in time. After that obstacle, George and Fred duck – fives each other. Their second obstacle was an alligator. It was trying to eat them. Fortunately for them, a bird came and started eating from its teeth.

Finally, they reached the oozy, green, slimy water. Now they could clearly see their friends. Now, Fred and George had to think of an idea of how to get their friends out. Suddenly, an idea popped into Fred’s head. “Why not suck the slim all up!” said Fred. “Good idea!” said George, so they got to work. Fred waddled to the lever which said “water cleaning” and pushed it with his head. Meanwhile, George told the ducks to duck underwater and make a creative duck mask. The slime water got sucked up in no time, but now they had a new problem. How do they stop it? Now, Fred looked worried, but George knew what to do. George quacked loudly to get the humans’ attention. Then he pointed towards Fred. Fred understood and pointed toward the ducks and the lever. Then, the humans started to understand, they went towards Fred and pulled a lever which said: “stop water”. They pulled it just in time before Gary Duck and Harry Duck got sucked into the pipe. George and Fred saved the day!

Fred’s duck friends were duck – rolling him in the water and from that day onward, George and Fred were legendary heroes of Ducksville, their pond.
